Marlow’s traditional country sound catapulted the talented artist to fourth place last season on [The Voice]…Country As Cornbread includes 10 tracks that will make both traditional country fans and modern country fans fall in love with the album and Marlow.
I’ve listened to an advance copy. And, folks, if you liked what Red did on the show, you’re going to love his album “Country As Cornbread” … Pop-country? Forget it. Rap lyrics embedded in a country song? Forget it. Red is serving up an album that fits its title.
During Season 13 of The Voice, fans embraced Red Marlow’s heartfelt performances and traditional approach to country music. In fact, they helped propel him to The Voice finale and an eventual fourth-place finish. Now Red is about to release his first post-show album. And, judging from its title — “Country as Cornbread” — Red will be serving up more of that traditional sounding country music.
Red recently brought that spiritual ballad to the stage for the first time since his run on the reality television competition series doing an appearance on the Nashville-based talk show “Pickler & Ben.” And, you can bet that he totally nailed it.
Show airs Wed 2/7 on CBS, and Thursday 2/8 on CMT.

After his performance Blake said, “Hey Red, you know what? You’ve had a hell of a run on this show. I don’t see any reason why it’s got to end here tonight, man. You deserve to be in the finale. You were waving the flag for traditional country music. And I know those fans are out there right now.”
Red Marlow is this season’s ultimate country crooner. Before ‘The Voice’ semi-finals results, here’s what you need to know about Team Blake’s amazing country singer!
“…an excellent job of tapping in to the song’s raw emotions, resulting in a performance that was believable and passionate.”
Finally…a competitor on NBC’s The Voice brings Brooks’ 1990 signature No. 1 “The Dance” back to the Billboard charts…[Red Marlow’s] cover debuts on Hot Country Songs at No. 49, powered by sales of 8,000 downloads and its No. 8 arrival on Country Digital Song Sales.
As he has time and time again, Red once again solidifies himself as a true, old-school country artist with his performance.
